Where did you get the info about Harry Potter 1 being re-released with an audio commentary. All I've heard is rumors.

guys its been talked about here on dvd talk. Check the re-release schedule. People were saying that an "adult" version of the 1st film was coming.... no joke

If the only new thing is the commentary, that's not reason enough for an upgrade.

How about placing the 'deleted scenes' in a more accesible place on the DVD this time around.

I would certainly buy a SE of the the movie. I could give my old copy to my daughter to do with as she pleases, and the SE would be mine, all mine! I'd love to hear a commentary from the cast and crew, and see some documentaries as well. For those I would gladly double-dip.

I recall reading a brief interview with Chris Columbus about this. He does intend to revisit these discs in a more "adult" light. In addition to the commentary, he also talked about more "behind the scenes" stuff, but he didn't want to spoil the magic before the series was complete.
