Do you still have a NES?

Recently ive found myself reuniting with things ive parted with. Ive been so wrapped up in the games of today that i forgot about the great ol' games i grew up on. So recently i went on Ebay looking for a NES i can buy. I got lucky and snagged one along with 2 controllers, the ol' zap gun and 3 games, and ive been loving it ever since. All my childhood days are coming back to me. Ive been going to Gamestop and buying old Nintendo games by the load taking advantage of thier buy 2 get 1 used item free deal. Its a great feeling playing those great games that turned you into a gamer and loving them for being simple but deep. Ive been able to get back my beloved Ninja Gaiden Trilogy and all three great Castlevania games.
So far ive been able to reclaim, like i said, Ninja Gaiden Trilogy , Castlevania 1-3 , Metroid , Advenure Island , Little Nemo Dreamaster , Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt , Karate Champ , Tecmo Bowl , Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers , Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game and Dr. Mario . Ive still got plenty to searh for.
So do you guys still have your NES? Do you still play it? Which games are your favorite?

I got re-addicted to my NES about 4 months ago and was buying every game I could find... I started with 15 games and my collection is up to about 250 right now (but it's kind of slowed down lately). You'd be surprised how popular it still is, every time someobody comes over to my apartment, they want to play.

Some of my favorites are:

Ninja Gaiden
Bad News Baseball
Bionic Commando
Rygar
Marble Madness
Pac Mania
Klax
Tetris (the Tengen version)
Punch-Out!!
River City Ransom
Gun.Smoke
Contra
RC Pro Am II
Super Off Road
Mega Man 1-6

...man I could go on forever. The original NES was the best.

I've got mine in a box right now. I have 7 other consoles hooked up and another 8 or so in boxes. I don't even know what NES games I have any more but I know I have 30 or 40 of them. Maybe I'll crack it open and see what's in there.

I have a mint condition 2nd model NES in my bedroom. (the Cube and Xbox are in the front room). Nothing says lovin' like a game of Dragon Warrior 4.

I'm still baffled by games today. Back in the NES days, you threw in a cartridge and killed a bunch of people for no good reason, and it was FUN. Now, you plug a game in and you're "treated" to 30 minutes of painfully written back-story as to WHY you're killing these people. And when you kill one you're "treated" to another 30 minutes of how that nameless grunt you killed had a wife and kids, and was only doing his job etc, etc.

What happened?

Half the time my NES won't read a cartridge and I have to keep removing and reinserting the cartridge until it finally reads it. I even tried cleaning it which helped a little. It's great fun when it works!

One of my friends still has it and we play the original Tecmo Bowl a lot. Great game. Only 4 plays. Only a handful of NFL teams to play as

Without that game we would have never heard of Faud Reviz or Kevin Mack

Bubble Bobble series is awesome.... 1 is easy to find, 2 is pretty hard.

Arkanoid with the controller is awesome.

Guardian Legends is a great shooter, so is Zanac, still plays extremely well today. Of course, everyone likes their Zelda, and I think Super Mario Bros 1, 3 are superb, I enjoy them more than their newer, 3D sequels.

I have like 3 NES still and about 30-40 games but I have not played or checked them out for over 6 months.

I would love to get the actual Bubble Bobble 2 cart and the adventure island series and all the dragon warriors

What's EIGBI?

Good luck on finding BB2 cart, it is tough, but well worth it IMO... And the Dragon Warrior carts, they are tough to get complete as well.

Bubble Bobble 2 is techinaclly(sp?) part 3 because Rainbow Islands is part 2, I have all three of them and they are all amzing, my favorite is Arkanoid, I also have the top loading NES, which is great. The worst part of my orginal NES was when I was playing R.C. Pro-AM 1 and I was on the last race and my system starting blinking, that was day I headed to ebay to buy the top loader and haven't looked back.

The rarest game for the system is some track and field type of game that was only sold at Woolworth's I sold a used cope for $600.00, people are crazy to pay that much for NES game, I also saw a sealed one on ebay about 2 years ago for $1,100.00

Bubble Bobble 2 is part 2.

There are actually 3 Bubble Bobble 2's.

Rainbow Islands
Bubble Symphony
Bubble Bobble 2

All claiming to be Bubble Bobble 2.

Parasol Stars and Bubble Memories both claim to be Bubble Bobble 3.

That would be "Stadium Events: Family Fun Fitness" by Bandai. I believe it was sold with it's special own power pad, too. Very rare indeed.
