I'm currently using my sectional in my HT but would like to get some functional chairs for the long intense gaming sessions.

Anybody have any of these or other type of gaming chairs? Do you like them? I'm not interested in the gaming chairs with the built in speakers and vibration.

Just FYI the bottom one pictured with the kid in it tips over way too easy. Im 6'8" and trying to sit that low in the first place is a pain in the arse and if you rock a little over you go. Not everyone is "above average" in stature so it might be perfect, but just so you know.

Go to a junkyard and snag some Momo seats from the latest riceboy car to eat jersey barricade. Bolt them to a few 2x4s or some MDF for stability and you'll be a gaming pimp.

I had something that looked like a mix between the bottom two. I got it YEARS ago. My parents sprung it on me and I had no clue what it was. If was comfy but I outgrew it fast. The dogs now sleep on it at my parents house.

That first version looks cheap and very uncomfortable.

That first chair is for little, little kids. A fourth grade class that I work with uses them for story time and most of those kids are too big for them.

I have a video rocker chair. I'm 6'2" and I like it. It's comfy and all that, but to be honest, I don't use it very often. I got some folding metal and cloth chairs from Function Junction that are great for gaming, but they cost $100 each. If someone's on a budget, I'd go for the video rocker.

And Big Pete, I thought of doing that a couple years ago. I know that you were kidding, but I still may do it this summer for kicks if I could find a car seat cheap enough. :)

I bought this when it was on sale at dicks for like 5 or 10 bucks, and I love it. It's very comfortable when you prop it against a bed or something, and lean back.

And BigPete...I love the signature...Mitch Hedberg is the best!

I never once thought of using a camping chair, thanks Diabolical Bunny!

I just sit on my couch, the same one I use for TV, DVDs, etc. I don't know what's special about video games.

It's kind of weird for me. I prefer to be a bit closer and more focused when gaming on my 57" HDTV as opposed to casually watching one of my dvds from my sectional 10 feet away.
