Your favorite Beck album?
I've had the chance to finally throughly listen to Sea Change(I've had it since release day), the latest Beck album and it's great. Here's how I would rank his albums:
1. Mutations
2. Sea Change
3. Midnite Vultures
4. Odelay
5. Mellow Gold
6. One Foot in the Grave
7. Stereopathetic Soul Manure
How would YOU rank his albums?
1. Mutations
2. Sea Change
3. Midnite Vultures
4. Odelay
5. Mellow Gold
6. One Foot in the Grave
7. Stereopathetic Soul Manure
How would YOU rank his albums?

Grunter, why do you say that?
I will agree with you that Midnite Vultures was amazing and that while I am happy with Sea Change I like Vultures more, there is no reason to call Sea Change terrible. You and I are probably in the minority regarding Vultures and Sea Change. A lot people (at least rock journalists) have called Vultures a failed attempt at faux Prince caterwalling, but Sea Change is new millenium equivalent of a Bob Dylan or Neil Young singer song writer album from there prime.
Personally, if I wanna get down I'll put in Midnite Vultures, if I wanna cry I'll put in Sea Change.

I had to listen to Sea Change atleast once a day for a few weeks there. I'm getting better, but it is still a great album and my favorite from Beck.

Honestly, it depends on my mood. When I'm into it, I love "Sea Change," but then other times I'm hugely into "Odelay." The only album of his I had I haven't been able to really like was "Mellow Gold," which I eventually traded in.
