I know this release is pretty old, but I'm thinking about picking up the animated Spawn collection and have a few questions.

I read on amazon that the 4 disc set deletes the commentary that was on the original 'season 3' disc. Is this true? Was the commentary on the season 3 set on every episode?
Was it any good?

Each season for the dvd and video release ran like a movie instead of a series, so you are really getting a commentary for the season.

Ok, that's cool...but do you know if the season 3 disc for the box set (seasons 1-3) actually includes a commentary?

I assumed it did until, like i said, an amazon reviewer said it was removed from the box set.

Not sure if i'd actually watch it with the commentary, but that'd be pretty silly to have it in the individual disc and not the set.

I have the box set and disk 3 DOES have commentary.

Disk 2 does NOT. If someone can confirm that season 2 DOES have a commentary, I will pick it up separately, as I think Todd's commentaries are among the best!

I am not sure but to play it safe, just get the dvd's individually since I don't think the bonus disc is worth it, plus its 14.39 a disc (3 flipper discs), which is like 45 something plus shipping or 50.49 for the set plus a crap bonus disc plus shipping at dvdempire.com

So Season 1 has a commentary? This i did not know.
I hear the sound for season 2 is pretty bad...something about the voice of Spawn being too low or something.

The box for season or disc 1 says that it is only an interview, so its really a commentary??

Its cheeper if you get the box set,you can get it for 29.99 or lower,unless you can get the 3 seperate discs for 9.99 or less I say buy the box set.

I got this set in today, and I can confirm that there is a commentary on disc 1 (season1).

I haven't checked out the other two discs yet.

It's a commentary on mine! Disks 1 & 3. Some of the best commentary I've heard. I love hearing what MacFarlane has to say. I've heard this commentary a couple times.

I picked up Vol 1 and 3 at Walmart for 5.88 each and got 2 at Frys for 8.99. $20 for three discs was good enough for me.

Does your Season 1 disc have a commentary on it? I'm thinking the commentary for that season may only be included in the box set.
