IRON GIANT: SE

has it listed as a new title, it even shows the cover art. Has this been unveiled at any DVD sites? I knew there was one in the works but this is the first time I have seen an actual listing for it anywhere. Buy.com & Bestprices.com have it for pre-order but they have no features listed. Does anyone have more info on this?

From Digital Bits:
...the best of the lot, as I'm sure you'll agree, is the art for Warner's long awaited The Iron Giant: Special Edition. The disc is set to street on 8/26 (SRP $19.98), with anamorphic widescreen video, English and French Dolby Digital 5.1 audio and all-new special edition materials. We expect to have specific details next week. Cool cover, no? ;-)
edited to post the cover art:

*sigh*

That's the kind of cover art you get when the studio doesn't have any GIANT FLOATING HEADS to stick all over. Almost surprised Warner doesn't have a boxout of Vin Diesel's face on there somewhere...

Oops, now I've jinxed it.

I'm sorry, but there is a floating giant head on that cover, literally.

I've looked in all the obvious forums and DVD info sites, and haven't found any details on what's going to be different with the new SE...

Anyone know yet?

You are correct, the website was erased and it is at the site you mention above.

I sure this will be great, but I love the 1st edition and will not upgrade to another.

I have a policy, if I buy it I will not upgrade latter on. If I know that a better version is coming out later and I want that version, I will not buy the 1st and wait for the 2nd.

I wait to buy TLOTR until the 4 disk version came out (I was give the 2 disk version for free).

It's about time.. a wonderful yet underrated movie. Worth the price of upgrading.
