I reported the following post to administrator about 11 hours ago. During the last 11 hours a number of threads have been locked in the DVDTalk forum, but this post remains untouched. Perhaps I don't understand the bootleg discussion rules here.
So the following statements don't fall under the gkleinman edict of "NO bootleg discussion threads"?

"Ok I bought a disc of of a amazon reseller it was anamorphic, yes you heard it right. Who ever did this Region 9 that will play very nicely on a R1 player has one outstanding DVD recorder and cover art maker! Oh heck before the digital millenium copyright in 2000 just about everybody had either a Go-Video or a lbb box for macro busting and duping vcr tapes."
"It doesn't have the grainyness the other previous legal one had."
"Take my everloving word the disc was done by a Expert. IMHO"

new2theplace, you were right... but it's Friday, so a few of us left our computers for a bit.
Here are the rules for bootleg discussions... and it's not as eedoon said.
1. No discussions on where to buy them.
2. No discussions on selling them.
3. No discussions on the quality of particular bootlegs.
What is okay is asking if a particular disc is a bootleg or not, so that people don't get scammed into buying a boot.
