When have you been most pissed off at a video game?

I am, right now.

I've been stuck at this dumb freezer level in the abattoir in splinter cell, and have been since march 8. I finally gave up on my no kill rule, and in doing so I finnaly got thru these 3 damn rooms, only killing 2 people. I get to the save point, AND IT FAILS!!!!

I have done it several times now, to no avail. I may never touch the game again.

I got almost all the way through Eternal Darkness and was saving my game. Suddenly a box popped up "Delete all save files?" I must not have been paying close attention because the next thing I knew...they were all getting wiped out! I was so pissed I took the game out of the cube and put it up for sale on ebay immediately.

Haha!! Brought back some memories... When I rented "Syphon Filter 2" for the PS and got killed again and again by some Russian chick-assassin (I think). I just took the disk and threw it across my living room where the disc shattered in 34 pieces on the wall...

When I went back to the store to return the game I told them that my "little cousin" played Frisbee with the CD and I paid a used copy to replace it...

Splinter Cell
Ninja Gaiden - got to one of the last levels, and spent at least an hour doing it over. and over. and over. and over. Got fed up and turned it off. Love the game, but the last few areas are just extremely frustrating......Maybe some day I will actually be able to finish it and no longer be a grasshoppa at Ninja Gaiden.

Ah yes, Ninja Gaiden on the NES. I too got frustrated. I spent 3 hours just getting past those later levels. Another game was Tenchu. I would ALWAYS restart the level if I was spotted. I would go SO far then out of nowhere an enemy would magically appear and BOO! I get spotted!

I was playing my friend NFL 2k3 and he kept doing this cheap TE play with the Patriots and at the end of the game he pulled off a 95 yard play to win by one... I proceeded to beat him to a bloody pulp, burned the game and haven't spoken to him since.

Hospital rooftop in Soldier of Fortune II Double Helix. I tried for three days to shoot down the helicopter and died roughly 5000 times. After the third day and trying to hit the little red things on each side of the engines. I promptly uninstalled and forgot about the game until this thread reminded me of it ARGGGGHH

I get frustrated when a game is hard for the wrong reasons, such as horrible camera work, horrible controls, bugs in the game, etc.

I love when games are hard, but I hate it when games are hard for reasons like that. 99% of the time that I get pissed off at a game, it is for one of those three reasons.

Devil May Cry.

A great game that I should have loved. Unfortunately, it was nearly impossible to play because the camera made it nearly impossible for me to keep a "spatial map", and often was looking in the completely wrong direction.

Most wrestling games piss me off with all the cheap reversals and guys jumping up miraculously after I pound the crap out of them. What do you guys do when you get mad? I mostly just yell at the tv, but I have hurled a few controllers across the room.

I don't just hurl controllers... I shatter 'em.
