Favorite Adam Sandler movie?

Happy Gilmore
(yes I know I skipped Eight crazy nights, and anger managment but 8cr was very very bad from what I hear and Anger Managment isn't really an Adam Sandler movie)

Happy Gilmore is my favorite, but I voted for Big Daddy...which is a close second.

Least favorite would be The Waterboy or Bulletproof (which I've seen in parts only).

Anger Management certainly seems more of an Adam Sandler movie than Airheads or Punch-Drunk-Love.

Punch Drunk Love (even though it's not really a Sandler flick)

Happy Gilmore, to me, is by far his funniest flick. Above Average flicks are Wedding Singer and Punch Drunk Love. Average flicks are Mr. Deets, Airheads, Wedding Singer, and Water Boy. Bad films are Billy Madison and Big Daddy.

Another bad flick missing is Little Nicky.

doctor_jones, all I know about Anger Management is that my paper (Boston Globe) gave it one-and-a-half stars. Which hardly constitutes "proof" that the movie sucks, of course.

I voted for The Wedding Singer, because there's something about it I find irresistible: whenever it's on TBS, I end up watching. Plus, along with Jerry Maguire, it's the *only* movie I've liked that can remotely be called a "romantic comedy."

"Hey remember when we picked up those two......well, I guess they were prostitutes, but I don't remember paying 'em!"

hmmm, it's a toss up between Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore. Billy Madison has Bridgette Wilson-Sampras, Norm McDonald and Chris Farley. It also has some of the best one liners in any more.

On the other hand, Happy Gilmore has Chris McDonald and Julie Bowen.

I'd have to pick Billy Madison over Happy, but it's very, very close.

I just saw Anger Management and it was pretty funny.

But I probably would have never saw it if Nicholson were not in it.

But my favorite is Happy Gilmore.

Although I don't consider Punch-Drunk Love to be an "Adam Sandler film"... more like a PTA film that stars Adam Sandler.

Which is why Punch-Drunk Love is the best film Sandler has ever appeared in by an extremely large margin.

Every other film starring Sandler is just plain awful IMO.

I have not seen PDL yet so won't include it. I like either Happy Gilmore or Billy Madison.

As far as his worst you guys are way off the boat here .... literally! Go to Best Buy and pick up Going Overboard while it's 6 bucks. I bet you will want that 6 bucks back.

So, uh, Punch-Drunk Love counts as a Sandler film...but Anger Management doesn't? I'd say you have your films reversed.

That being said, I'm going to exclude Punch-Drunk Love from the running. And with that being said, I'm going to vote for Big Daddy. Any movie where the kid volunteers to be called Frankenstein rules.

Anger Management is a Sandler film - it's a Happy Madison production and stars all his buddies.

I would have to go with Happy Gilmore and The Wedding Singer. I grew up in the 80's so I can definitely appreciate a movie like TWS more. Happy Gilmore was just deliriously funny(The price is wrong, bitch!)

I catch myself watching Big Daddy more than any other film he has been in, including Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore, so I guess that is my favorite Adam Sandler movie.

Looks like we have a bunch of Punch-Drunk Love snobs in this thread.

Why do people keep saying that Anger Management isn't Adam Sandler's movie. I think he is the main star for three reasons.

1. He's on a bigger pay check than Nicholson
2. It's done by Happy Madison which is his company and he is the executive producer of it.
3. You can tell its his movie cause its got all of his buddies in.

Actually I think everyone except the original poster is saying that Anger Management IS Adam's movie.

Can't wait to see it.
