Myra Breckenridge on Fox DVD at long last!!

I recently received an email message from Mike Sarne announcing that Fox has finally agreed to produce a DVD of his infamous 1970 movie of Myra Breckenridge and that he is going to do a "making of "documentary for the DVD!! At last this great kitsch masterpiece of a movie will be available after years of obscurity. The magnificent costumes by Edith Head for Mae West and Theadora Van Runkle for Raquel Welch will be on show once more and I for one can't wait! I think I'm in a minority of one in liking this movie but Fox don't release a movie if there isn't any market do they?
I don't know the release date much later in the year I would imagine. Woo Hoo!!

A Rex Reed commentary would be interesting.

Mae versus Raquel!!

Yes it would be interesting to hear what the atmosphere was really like on set. Were things as acerbic between the young Raquel Welch and the old Mae West as they were reputed to be. Was Mae really as sad and self deluded as her detractors would have us believe or was she just sending herself up?

Fox released Beyond the Valley of The Dolls in a cinema double bill with Myra in 1970 they should release the two movies separately but a Midnite Movies style combo might be a good seller too!
