Six Feet Under - 4/6
Solid episode. Some nice Ruth moments. Funny and classic. Her and that new guy are turning out to be soul mates. As much as Lisa gets on my nerves, I do actually feel sorry for her. Knowing the inevitable. Bummed Brenda only had a brief cameo again this week. Combined screen time these past two episodes, 7 minutes. Glad David didn't sing this week But overall, well written and above average show. Another 50 minute one though

Solid episode, but I am getting frustrated with Brenda - or the lack there of. She is such a great character and this show suffers without her.
Nate's violent snake rampage was a riot!

I liked it a lot. The sex-obsessed couple had me I also liked the conversation between Lisa and Nate about how the two other times they had amazing sex like that were after Nate was mad at some other girl. Great writing!
Glad to see Claire hook up with her "gay" friend Russell. That could make for some interesting storylines.
And I am really enjoying the quirky creepiness of that new apprentice. I'll never look at "Silent Running" in the same light again.
What was up with today's kickoff death? That corpse was totally forgotten about in favor of "Biggie".

The biggest laugh was when they turned off "Silent Running" and the TV was showing porn. Holy moly, that was a LOL moment! Their reactions to it was classic. So...is Ruth gonna be robbing the cradle with the intern?
I was hoping Nate would throw Brenda off the mountain, but he's not ready to do it ... yet.

It looked to me like she was pursing her lips to put a lipstick imprint on the hanky...then she chickened out.
One of the funniest moments, IMO, was when the intern ran out of the room to go downstairs and went the wrong way. He's fast becoming my favorite character

Not to harp on the film quality again this season (well, maybe just a little). On the preview for next week's episode, it was SO dark and murky, I had to rewind my TIVO to see who it was in the last scene. It looked like Brenda and her brother sitting on a couch looking over their shoulders at their mother (!?). I watched this at least five times and I still don't know who any of the three people were. Was that indeed them? Not a fan of the film quality this year. Sorry

I thought the funniest part was when Lisa was imitating her friend to Nate -- " 'I like it when he comes on my tits' " and Nate's instant "She said that?!?!" response.
I also liked the quick cut to the happy look on her face in the car after their nature sex scene.
Kathy Bates is really a great director.

Ruth's "attachment" to Arthur just confirms the one I said she had towards (or with) Bettina. It may be innocent, but it's a crush just the same. I think this character is so starved for attention, she literally wraps herself around anyone who gives her any.

I found this episode to be the funniest of the season so far...
Am I the only one who finds this season, as a whole, to be a bit boring? It doesn't seem like it's really going anywhere. I find myself not really caring about any of the story lines, especially since Nate is married now.
I miss Brenda!!

Is anyone else thinking Arthur and Ruth could be heading into Harold and Maude territory?
