Looks like another mediocre week, with the war and NCAA and so forth... "The Core" is sure shaping up to be the biggest bomb of 2003 so far I think...

No the biggest bomb of 2003 had to be either Boat Trip or Willard. Take your pick.

But in terms of money spent to make the movie, I'd think The Core -- or Dreamcatcher, I forgot about that one -- lost more money for their studios than Willard or Boat Trip.

You're right, Sierra. According to IMDB, The Core had a budget of $85 million, whereas Willard is listed as $22 M. Nothing is listed for Boat Trip, but I'd imagine it's much closer to Willard than The Core.

Glad to see Phone Booth take the top spot, I'm looking forward to seeing it. Also glad to see what looks like a crappy disaster flick like The Core flopping.

Oh, come on now. I think it looks great. I mean, from the ads it appears the film introduces some new kind of geometeorological paradigm in which mucking around in the center of the Earth somehow "fixes" an excessive lightning problem. Dontcha wanna know how they explain that?
