Cool episode for those who watch battlebots. Ton of robot "cameos" along with their real life drivers.

Greg made that comment at the end about being in the field. So anyone else think he is going to take on that role at the end of the season or next season? I hope they aren't replacing someone w/ him, though. I'd hate to see someone leave the show. It's got good chemistry.

I thought this ep was kind of boring. I fell asleep right in the middle of it and woke up for the last 15 minutes.

Was Warrick in this ep at all?

Warrick was working on the robot case. I think they can do some good things with Greg. He always makes me laugh. I can see a continuing story line of training him up for field duty. Might be kinda interesting. I think his character is under used.

Agreed. So, he would get a pay cut by going into the field?

It was cool that they had a lot of the bots from Battlebots in that one scene.

I wasn't all that impressed with this episode - then again, I'm not a BattleBots fan.

As to Greg eventually being in the field, I can see him taking Grissom's spot while Grissom spending more time in the lab doing experiments (because of his hearing loss).

I like Greg as well, and fully expect him to be moving into a CSI field role, since it has been mentioned on a number of times now. I like Battlebots as well, but this was a pretty boring show. My girlfriend even commented how dull it was, and she is a huge fan.

Even though I like self contained episodes, I think that CSI is starting to repeat itself more and more. Law & Order is a good example of a show that while self contained, as well as avoiding the personal lives of its main characters, it manages to be interesting week in and week out. For me, CSI has lost that distinction in the last three or four episodes of last season, and has carried it on into this one.

One of the weaker eps. Still better than some other shows.

I thought it was a weak episode too. They've been gradually moving Greg towards a role in the field for a while. I'd like it. He's the most likeable character to me. I think that's also why they brought in that guy with no people skills in the same role as Greg for a few episodes this season. He'll probably take Greg's spot when Greg goes to the field.

So how many more times will we see Greg upchuck his lunch at the crime scenes?

Don't forget, processing evidence and running it through the machines is one thing, but having to see, in person, the sordid deaths on a daily basis is a totally different line of work.

probably be a cut because he would be an entry level field person
I doubt he'd be doing what the main cast does in the field

I finally got to watch it and thought it was a pretty good episode. One mistake I found was how did the guys leg get cut so cleanly by a large BLUNT spining object.
