Dead Poets Society.

I remember coming out of the movie theatre and going "YEAH!! Seize the day!! I'm gonna reach the top and make something out of my life!!"

2 days later I was still working at my stupid job and sitting on my sofa at home channel surfing -smile-

I agree with Bring It On.

Also:
The Graduate

They don't necessarily have me happy all the way through, but leave me happy at the end.

Any Ernst Lubitsch film will do, specifically my favorites: Trouble in Paradise (1932), Heaven Can Wait (1943), Cluny Brown (1946), and even the black comedy To Be or Not to Be (1942) set in Nazi occupied Poland.

Last year though, I saw Abbas Kiarostami's Where is the Friend's House? (1987) and the film's final shot was just so perfect, encompassing everything that came before without bogged down symbolism. I guess I can say it was effortless. I left the theater in a damned glad mood.

And a few more recent ones:
Read My Lips (2001)
Eureka (2000)
Lakeboat (2001)
Secretary (2002)
What Time is it There? (2001)
Diamond Men (2000)
The Happiness of the Katakuris (2001)
The American Astronaut (2000)

Watching Hackers 1995 for the hundreds of times, I have watched that too cute Angelina Jolie. Burn she can do a face lock on me anytime as long as it's kates pool on her roof, not the nonexistant pool on the roof at the high school. "Razor and Blade they're flakes, their elite says Kate"

Too cute with that hairstyle. Gets me feeling young and full energy, while trying not to be a pediophile LOL. :)

I'd second--or fifth, whatever-- Amelie, and also The Full Monty. That movie had such a feeling of never-say-die.

People may think I'm strange but Secretary was a real feel good movie for me. I'm not into S&M or anthing like that, but the movie proves that there really is a special person for everyone.
