Metroid Prime $19.99 at blockbuster

Sorry if this has been posted. Anyhoo, i went to my friendly neighborhood blockbuster yesterday and i noticed they had a brand new copy of Metroid Prime priced at $19.99. I brought it up to the clerk and he double checked and sure enough it was still $19.99. Has this deal been around for awhile?? I noticed they had Mech Assault for the X-box at $19.99 as well.

The blockbuster i went to is located in San Francisco in the sunset district.

If this is old news I apologize.

I was going to post the same thing. They also have RE Zero for $19.99. Some other games are marked at 29.99, Super Mario Sunshine & Star Fox being two.

According to the manager at BB, they just received a memo on the price change this morning.

Too bad I already picked MP as my free game when I got the SMS bundle...

But I have to pick up RE 0 for $19.99. Thanks!

Ditto, and ditto! I was thinking about buying a used copy from them for $30... but I think that deal might be better...

I hope this isn't another "corporate" stores only promotion. I will check a couple today on the way to work.

Thanks a ton for the post, I checked out 2 Blockbusters near me, neither had any games marked down. I asked the guy at the register to scan Metroid, Mech Assault, and RE: Zero, and they all scanned up for 19.99. Anybody else know of any other marked down games?

Nothing at BB. All their games were priced at 22.99 nothing decent. Only thing *maybe* worth getting was Hunted or The Thing for the xbox. This was the BB in centreville on stone rd.
going to try some others at lunch

My local BB had the "free" titles MP, RE0, SFA as well as SMS all for $19.99. Keep on the lookout.

Nevermind about buying them for me. I did a 6 BBV trek today and finally found them. I got Mechassault for 19.99, Metroid Prime 19.99, RE:0 19.99, Mario Sunshine 24.99, and Star Fox 24.99, all new. Most were the last copy, but I think I can snag more Prime's for anyone that can't find them.

The guy at blockbusters told me this is because they are phasing out videogames (new, used, AND RENTALS!!) alltogether in the next 4-6 months!

Yes he said even rentals. I asked all blockbusters, he said "yes"

I find this hard to believe but it's what he said so who knows.

I find that incredibly hard to believe as well. I think it was supposed to be the used copies that were to be marked at $19.99. I have a feeling this won't last much longer.

Picked up RE:0. Nice deal. I didn't see too much else marked down. Tony Hawk 4 was $29.99 which is a bit of a deal.

I went to my local store, and the MP, SMS, and RE:0 were all 29.99. I was miffed at that, but ended up getting a previously played RE:0 for $15, and the original RE for $10, not too bad of a haul

I went to four stores tonight and they didn't have any of the ones mentioned, 3 of the 4 had some new $19.99 titles but they were older titles I didn't want. (Dave Mirra, Shrek, 4x4 Evo 2, Spy Hunter, etc.)

I checked at a nearby BB, and only Metroid Prime, Mech Assult and Resident Evil 0 are ringing up $19.99. Mario Party 4 and Star Fox Adventures were coming up $29.99.
