yeah, you can use a usb network adapter. I'm not sure of the specifics, but I know people have done it before.

I read on the gamefaqs boards that the USB adapters don't work with auto modellista. I'm assuming that since the game uses the SEGA SNAP program some other games might not work with non-Sony adapters.

It would be best to get a sony network adapter. That you will be 100% sure you will be compatible with all games that come out. Saving a few bucks now might end up costing you more when you have to buy another NA to play a game you really want and its not compatible with 3rd partys.

I would do the deal with the Network adapter plus Everquest for free; and then sell Everquest and get the NA for free. That's what I did.

So far, other than Everquest, none of the games have monthly charges, and it's only a $40 adapter, so I'm kinda confused as to where you're trying to save money?

The Franchise is talking about the cost of the adapter not the monthly charges. If you buy the NA w/ Everquest and sell the game then you recoup your loses on the NA., thereby getting the NA for free.

You wanna save $40 don't you? You can use it to buy the game you really want.

Except people arent really paying that much for everquest. I've been trying to sell mine, and I wouldnt even get $25 for it , and yup, its still sealed and good.
