I don't understand.... with all the robots/high tech weapons, they still can't hit each other with their guns... it seems like they like to purposely miss each other by a mile and resort to hand to hand fighting!
I wish that trailer would show some ingame footage.

WHOA! Pretty darn cool. One thing I hope is that the movements are really fluid. Even though Transformers were big robots they were still really quick and agile. I hope that comes through in the game.
First Robotech and now the Transformers. With the resurgance of all these 80's animated series could we see G.I. Joe in the not too distant future?

Action/RPG maybe? At least that's what the trailer makes me think of. Especially the whole "The Confrontation Of The Fate" line followed by a one-on-one duel between Optimus Prime and Megatron. Then you have the line of "A Battle Without An End" line that (after a few shots of other Autobots and Decepticons battling and Rodimus opening The Matrix) is followed by a one-on-one duel between Rodimus Prime and Galvatron.
It just has the makings of an epic RPG spanning the pre-movie and post-movie eras of Gen 1 Transformers. But I just don't see it working as a turn based RPG so I figure the battles'd be real time.
Any more trailers like that? Or maybe an official site?

Just imagine if you could choose your characters.
I would be Soundwave in a minute because you could eject Ravage & Lazerbeak & have them go wreck shop for you.
You may have to be an Autobot though , the Heavy hitter Decepticons (Magatron,Starscream ect, ect,)are probley just the Bosses at the end of the levels & the lesser Decepticons are who you fight through the game.
These are just guesses ,i have no clue how the game is going to be.
I also cant wait for the Masters of the Universe Game for PS2.Does anybody know what type of game it will be or seen any screenshots ? I really enjoyed the Gameboy Advance MOTU game.

Well the site the link is from http://www3.telus.net/Dsx2 has another TF relatedlink to IGN were they have some (albeit semi-crappy) pics of the game itself. Maybe it's just a really early version demo?
In case you don't see the link: http://ps2.ign.com/objects/499/499630.html

New information has come to light about the Transformers Tatakai game. According to Famitsu in Japan, there are several facts revelaed about this game. Here's what we know. The players have control of the fighting squads. The filgting game will include the abilty to fight in squads of up to 3 fighters that can battel with 3 others. The game will have as many as 100 different Transformers to choose from. The PS/2 game is scheduled for a Fall of 2003 release by Winkeysoft in Japan.
We have confimed that the Tatakai game announced by Infrogrames in the USA is the same as the Winkeysoft game being promoted here for sale in Japan.

Man, I've been waiting for this game for what, 18 years now?
Actually, that's kind of sad I hope as well that it's not a fighting game, but we'll have to see. Keep us posted!

Transformers Cel Shaded!? Now that would be a beautiful idea. If they could make a game like Robotech.
