Does anyone know if this is going to open wide? It's only at 19 theaters this week, up from 10 it's opening week. I really want to see it, and don't much feel like waiting another 7 months or whatever.
Why is that all the good movies never go wide? Spider is another i'd love to check out....

I'm hoping it gets wider release as well.
As far as why all the "good movies" don't get wider release, the studios are thinking about their checkbooks and the mainstream probably wouldn't consider this one a potential big money maker.
I live in a podunk town in S. Michigan and have to drive about an hour to get to see limited releases, or more if they only hit the Detroit area. That's what I get for liking less mainstream stuff.
But yes, Frances McDormand and Kate Beckinsale...sounds like fu to me.

Anybody notice the similarity between the Laurel Canyon poster and the cover of Grand Theft Auto 3? Kind of funny.

I saw it and enjoyed it. Frances McDormand was pretty wild in this one. She plays a record producer who is dating the lead singer of the rock band she is producing.
Her son (Christian Bale) and his girlfriend (Kate Beckinsale) come to L.A. to stay with her.
It's basically just about what goes on romantically between all involved.
*** out **** stars
