Also, IIRC, in OOT, you couldn't pick up rocks at the start of the game, right? Didn't you need the first bracelet? If someone is thinking that the controls are the exact same, they might also think that they couldn't pick up a rock yet...

i'm guessing that the other 2 (as of now) are similar so i'm really dismissing that whole category.

I'm with chopper. There is no "training" to pick up rocks, just an off-hand remark from that woman who walks around with the jug on her head.

I think I am just kicking myself for actually reading and talking to everyone on the island for half an hour when no one really told me anything that I didn't already know (with the exception of a few of the "required" things you had to do on the island.)
The one and only reason I think tutorials are necessary is for a technique that isn't completely obvious (like the "Split Jump" in Splinter Cell, for example.)
Zelda's are pretty obvious. It just would have saved me some time if I had remembered that.

9. Started off a bit slow, but still an awesome game.
I LOVED the opening sequence, as well as all th new characters (Tetra comes to mind). If you have a GBA, GET THE CABLE! The Tingle Tuner is REALLY helpful!

I didn't see a previous thread, so post anything about Zelda here. That includes Tips, Tricks, Spoilers, Help, etc.

Well, i'm certainly not 5 hours in, but it's pretty sweet. It's very slow at the beginning as everyone mentioned, but I'm impressed. Am I the only one that thinks the controls/camera aren't as good Super Mario Sunshine?

Initial impression would be a 8 for now. There's no way, when we look back at the overall experience after beating the game, that anyone would think the first 5-10 hours are the best part of the game.

Just got Zelda in the mail
Just got it in today Thing is, I preordered from eb about two months ago, so I missed the free shipping deal and opted for the 5-10 day ground; but they said they shipped it on the 24th, and I got it today - faster than expected.
Time now for some Zelda gaming goodness

I'll drink to that. "I thought I bought Zelda...why am I playing Splinter Cell?"Yeah...it does feel a little awkward. Getting into first person mode, for instance, is huge pain.

I probably harp on this too much, but if the free camera was more like SC I'd be in heaven.
