PS2 Import Games
What do you need to play import games on a PS2 and where are some good sites to order them from?
I noticed that there are 2 Blood the Last Vampire games for the PS2 among others.
Thanks.

you dont need to do that to play import games nor do you need to buy a japanese console.

I play mine with a PS2 'debug' unit. Basically it's a programmers unit that boots up everything (U.S. / Jap / PAL / Cdrs).
The units are more than worth the bank you spend on them if you're a die-hard gamer. Since it has no region coding, it'll boot up any game (even after the programmers try to change up the boot sequences and all to 'sniff' out mod chips so the game won't work.
That happened on the PSX units too. My cousin had a modded PSX, and he wasn't able to boot up some of the last games put out for the system.
But I had a 'blue psx debug' that booted up everything, so I was all cool.

They're $1000. Debug units also do not play DVDs.
I just have one of each. My Mitsuwa sells really cheap used imports. Got about 3 games this weekend for $40. Not too shabby!

Also waiting on an explanation on how to do this without spending $1000 on a debugging unit, IF you can get your hands on one.

That's where I sold my next to last PS2 unit (had purchased a few of them at one time).
And yes, it's true they don't play dvds, but who gives a crap... that's what dvd players are for.

After spending so much on a debug, I don't think I would have used it for DVDs even if it did play them (just because of the uneeded wear and tear on the unit... you know)
