Special News Bulletin Interrupted by ... Special News Bulletin

There's a tornado brewing down the street, so as I'm watching Letterman America at War, the interruption was interrupted by the local news people informing me that the rumble out my window isn't an attack from Iraq ... just an attack from God.

I'm not sure I can recall a time when my TV viewing was preempted only to have that preemptor itself preempted.

Dammit ... I wanted to see Bonnie Hunt.

And Bonnie was so damned good too. I doubt they'll ever rerun these guest host shows, but if you know someone who might have taped it you should get it. Seriously, she was that good. I hate myself for not taping it, but I just figured the guests would be so bad it wouldn't be worth it. I was wrong. She really needs to do an HBO special or something.

LOL! I think that was actually an SNL skit once, where the newspeople kept interrupting eachother with special news bulletins.

I've seen it only one time, and that's when Princess Di had been killed, and the special new bulletin about her was interrupted by a breaking news bulletin when Mother Teresa died.

The best thing I can say about my local WB affiliate is they have no news team. At all, not even for local news, so no interruptions for anything, no weather warnings or any of that crap. It's nice to be able to watch your favorite WB shows without interruptions when all the other networks have put up with that. I think the only time they interrupted programming was during 9/11, and I think then they just aired CNN coverage, I forget exactly who's coverage they aried, but they had none of their own.

I taped Angel as well and when I heard that it started going down around 9:30 I was certain I was screwed. But, the WB here didn't interrupt it and I got to see the whole thing. And dang, it was good!

das - that's wacky, preempting a preempting. We might need to kick some booty. They bes not interrupt our new Buffy next week.

And don't forget the irony of Dave being preempted by the shingles to have Bonnie there in the first place

Better start scrounging the internet, I'm sure it's out there somewhere.

Nope.

I was gonna suggest that a thread about the preemptive interruption of a preemptive interruption was about to be preempted, but I just couldn’t bring my self to do it.

Preemptively speaking, that is.

Besides, mike is one of my favorite posters here.

LOL!!!

Didn't mean to preemptively interrupt anything. Just had to put my opinion out there.
