What's up w/ the Drew Carey show?

Is it my local affiliate or everywhere? It hasn't been on in over a month. When it is aired, usually it is shown at 10:00pm or later on Friday nights or like 1:00 am on Sunday night/ Monday mornings.

You mean on ABC, or in syndication?

Drew Carey has been in syndication for some time, so they usually get phased it for more popular shows. Affiliates are also allowed to pick when to air their syndicated shows, and I remember seeing "Drew Carey" being aired late at night. It's just a programming decision made by an affiliate, I think.

Sounds good to me. This show used to be good; back when it was mainly Drew, Kate (yum!), Oswald, and Lewis. Then they had all the "pop-up mistake" shows, musical shows, too much mimi, drew's transvestite brother, etc, so I stopped watching it a long time ago.

Sadly, i'd say that this show will NOT be back next season. It dropped off the radar ratings wise (usually coming in at around number 88 or 90 (I'm surprised it hasn't already been cancelled).

Really too bad, because I think this was the best season they've had in years.

The addition of Cynthia Watros helped so much. She was the first sensitive character I can remember the show having. Her feelings were easily hurt by the insults that had become second nature to the show.

I really hope they pick it up for another season with her on board.

I think that the show will be cancelled as well. I used to watch it faithfully, but it has gotten unbelievably bad in the last few years, and needs to be put out of its misery.

Part of the reason it gets poor ratings is has been moved around a bunch. They scheduled it on Monday nights, which really isn't a comedy type night. Then they moved it around to Friday, then Sunday. No one knows where it was at, so they couldn't watch it. I have always enjoyed the show, and I'm hoping it comes back in a permanent lineup spot.

If I'm not mistaken, ABC signed a multi-year contract for the show and it still has one year to go.

Could be a very costly mistake for ABC. Oh wait, who cares. They make the programmers at FOX look like geniuses. As a matter of fact, they may even give the Sci-Fi programmers a run for their money in the most inept department.

More like Drew couldn't compete with the CBS Comedy Power Houses of Monday night.

I use to be a huge fan of the Drew Carrey show but the last few years have been horrid. I think it started to die when Drew got with Kate. ABC should have cancelled it a long, long time ago... I hate to see good shows end sour.

Only CBS airs comedy on Monday nights. Tuesday-Thursday are typically more comedy friendly nights. It also doesn't help that ABC has Monday Night football for most of the the fall television season. That coupled with moving it around alot, tends to make a show lose it's audience. Luckily I have a Tivo so I can catch it when it does air.
