Did anyone see UKs "BLACKOUT" (by Abel Ferrara)?

If so, is it anamorphic? What is the quality?

Thank you, any help appreciated,

Seb

I own the R1 version.

It is a stellar film however quite different from what you might expect. It is nothing like BAD LIEUTENANT, or KING OF NEW YORK, or THE NEW ROSE HOTEL.....

The film is more like a visual paranoia as it often follows its own direction and not the logic of the events taking place on the screen.
The characters are quite complex and none of them particularly strike as being normal. Again, that might be exactly what one would expect from Hollywood and the movie business (part of the plot here).
Dennis Hopper was absolutely amazing, and though I admit that I am biased since I love his acting so much, I have to admit that Matthew Modine was even better.
All in all, I am sure that many will perhaps look at this movie as a total mess however I thought that it was remarkable. It is sometimes difficult to watch but it sure immerses you in a world that, at least that was the case with me, I was glad that after the movie was over I was not a part of.

The R1 disc also has an outstanding quality, anamorphic image, 5.1 mix, and a few extras.
