DOA : XTreme Beach Volleyball is worse then crack.

So I bought this game like 3 weeks ago. Between then and now, I've also managed to pick up a few games, including Panzer and Splinter Cell.

I can't put DOA down. I cannot stop playing. Between the custom soundtracks. The gorgeous graphics. The simplisitic gameplay. The "collect everything" mentality. This game is ****ing good.

Even for all the flaws, the game has a lot going for it. anyone else having this problem?

I've played it more than any one of my other XBox games. I think I'm around 22 hours in right now with my current game, not counting the time I spent on a now-deleted 'career' or multiplayer games.

Careful, they'll take your picture when you buy it and post it on on the net.

I took it back because I couldn't stop playing it. It's alright though because I played it to death. Like 60 hours...

Christ Thunderball STOP IT !! You will make me buy this game !!

Is there some actual volleyball gameplay? Or is it all about buying thongs and controlling camera angles ?

Bah!! It would give me a break from playing Splinter Cell heh...

Yeah, the volleyball part of the game is fun (though very simple), but soon after beginning a game file, you'll be playing it (the volleyball part) not for the fun of it, but to get gain enough money to buy that new barely-there swimsuit (just to give it to someone and have them throw it away!). That's the one thing that did kind of piss me off about this game. I wasted hours upon hours earning money, gaining a large collection of gifts my target girl loves, giving my target girl gifts every chance I get for days upon day (in-game days I mean) just to have them throw the MILLION dollar swimsuit away! Very frustrating! …But the blackjack was fun!

In my honest opinion, there's a reason Beach Spikers is 9.99 and DOA is 49.99.

Beach Spikers was fun at first. Then it got frustrating to me. It's too arcadey.
DOAXBV actually feels like a volleyball game you'd see on the beach. For the most part laid back, with some good music in the backgrounds, and nice scenery.

The volleyball part is fun, collecting swimsuits is fun, having them throw away the Venus is not fun I've lost 8 so far, and my friend even had a "fool proof" method, but it hasn't worked for me yet.

Josh : Buy. This. Game.

Well Thunderball I bought it!! So far I've played about 20 minutes in the "Zack island mode" and nobody wants to pair up with my chick (Christie) !! I must admit I didn't read the instruction manual fully; I'll do that tomorrow!

I've spent most of my time poolside or on the secret island having fun with multiple camera angles while my babe relaxes and stretches hehe.

So far I suck at the volleyball part... I'm always on defense but like I said I'll read the manual.

This game seems like a simplistic but fun guilty pleasure so far

All the girls hate Christie. (She did try to kill them in DOA3). It'll take a lot of gift giving to get someone to team up with her.

It only took one gift, I think, to get Hitomi to "love" me (multiple notes flowing from her icon the next time I saw her), and Christie/Hitomi might've been the best team I'd used for the entire 22 hours or whatever I've played. Practically unbeatable.

You guys make it seem like the game is non-stop hardcore porn.

DOA:XVB is basically a volleyball game with characters dressed in bikinis with a shopping/gambling element tossed in.

There's a lot more erotic stuff on E!'s Wild On series than in the game.

Yes, but when I play Animal Crossing, I rarely ever adjust the camera angle to get a better view at one of my female villagers.

My wife also like this game. It's become the latest "show off" game. When I talk to people at work or people my wife knows about video games eventaully I'll hear...

Do you have that one volleyball with the half naked chicks?

Before you know it we have company over.
