WooHoo I just knew Tamyra would come through in the end and nail that song
The Guber/Harper exchange about Guber's temper was pretty funny but that's about it.
The news story with Danny was just dumb. Like he's really going to leave it up to the students whether or not to show a video of 2 teachers having sex to the entire school. And the 12 year old is very annoying.

Well, for the cheatin' teacher storyline...there are quite a few flaws in that.
Faculty advisors do have the right to control content, especially since free speech isn't really a protected right for students.
Then again, the geeky teacher doesn't have a reason to be whining. Hello...it was on-campus, during school hours. That's what you get for being a plot device!
So much singing in this episode. Did they do some focus group testing and decide that people like music montages? Must we continue to sit through a song or two each week?
And finally, that new character sucks. Is he staying around? 'Cuz he reminds me of Kimberly...just a male version of her.

The only good part of this episode was everyone freaking out about the mayor's "plant/spy" in the school.
The student tv station subplot was stupid, and I am not even going to comment on the broadway piece of crap subplot. We have bitched about it enough.
If this show gets renewed, somebody must be getting some sexual favors over at Fox - it is getting worse every episode. Sorry to be so negative about it, but it is truly awful to watch during a majority of the show.

I am so glad I taped it last night so I could fast forward through the music. I just pressed fast forward until it looked like real dialogue was being spoken. Do they throw in the musical numbers as filler, because they can't come up w/ a decent story an dialogue to pass the time?

Well to be honest, the musical numbers actually DID reasonably fit into this episode. I mean the storyline is about the school musical and the two numbers served to show how AWFUL they were (but not really - the mess ups and falls were even choreographed and fakey) and how much the leads worked to improve (the 2nd time we see it). I mean come on! This is NOTHING compared to the gratuitous choir singing montages we were subjected to most of last season!
Overall a weak episode. But I was thinking that if the school is getting such poor performance ratings (even though every kid can dance like Barishnikof and sing like they should be on American Idol), maybe they'll just close it at the end of this or next season.
The spy storyline was really lame - I mean do they routinely just LET folks wander the halls during school hours? Most schools these days have all outside doors locked so that visitors have to enter via the main entrance and pass the office. Of course, the receptionist is hugging the porcelan god with her morning sickness so.... Jeez - Winslow should be full of drug dealers!
TV storyline - whatever. Obviously a groundwork laying episode for the 12 y.o. to use for something else down the road.
Now everyone KNOWS that Marla is going to get wind of Steven's recommendation and then get turned down in lieu of Ronnie (in modified Marla terms "Miss Skinny White Barbie-Perfect Bitch"). Ronnie will be bowled over and want to turn it down and Marla will get even more annoyed. Another groaner of a storyline .
So this means Winlsow will get two new teachers, eh? Well maybe they'd be in better shape if Colin Flynn (Joey McIntyre) and his clone Zack (Jon Abrahams), actually showed UP for work once in a while!

I was almost expecting the cheating teacher to don a nun's outfit. Practice fans know what I am talking about.
Guber was the only highlight of this episode. He did everything short of shouting "Swarm! Swarm!"
I would have liked to see that thong as well.

Not any of the regular players; just guest stars.

I'm glad I finally decided to quit watching this as soon as I saw the commercial with Tamyra in it. It's too bad because they were doing good there for a while. The show is much better when they go for the laughs because the drama is so over the top.

Didn't you all know? David E. Kelley is planning to slowly turn Boston Public into Fame. Mark my words, by the end of the season, they'll all be singing Fame up and down the hallways.
"You got big dreams? You want fame? Well fame costs, and right here is where you start paying."

I have not seen the show in the past few weeks, but I wouldn't say I'm missing it based on these threads....
I used to really like the show but its grown weaker each episode..

that one blonde student newscaster is hot. I don't care what anyone says. I like this show simply due to the amount of absurdity that there is.

I enjoy seeing Ronnie in motion, she's still got a smokin' bod.
I liked the musical number with Tamyra, she's going to have a nice career if she plays her cards right.
The blonde girl (I think she was the girl whose mother was hittin' it with Youngling #2) is pretty hot as well.
