Help me spend $600 on ANY Sony TV!

Hey Everyone! I have collected $600 on my Sony card and looking for a TV: - stuck with Sony brand tho...

i have narrowed the search to:

KP-51WS500 - FOR $1100 (1700-600)
Question - it says 1080i in product description but not in detailed description - can this TV do 1080i? is this a good deal? can i get another brand HDTV close to this price that is better?


or

KV-27FV300 this one wud be FREE - but its 4:3

or

KV-32FV300 FOR $250 - again 4:3

we watch 50 % tv and 50% Dvd - this is for bedroom - will go projector or something else for dedicated HT - dream dream

or should i just wait for few more months maybe 6 months?

also besides PIP - is there anyothr difference in Sony's nomenclature of 100/200/300?

If it is for your bedroom, I say get the 27" Trinitron Wega. My brother just got one from Best Buy for $499 and put it in his bedroom at my parents house. It really looks great. If you don't have a stereo setup in your bedroom either, then the surround sound on the TV is more than adequate. It's sounds pretty decent and the picture is excellent, imo. For a bedroom, it is one hell of a nice TV, especially if it was free.

For $1100, I'd probably get the 51". I actually don't know anything about the TV, but my "small" TV is a Sony 32" and it truely is SMALL!

I will never buy anything under 50" again. If I upgrade the 32" bedroom TV, it will be for a 50" plasma, and the 32" will be sold.

If that 32" you are looking at is 4:3, then when viewing a DVD on it in 16:9, you would be seeing a picture equivalent to one if you had a 28" widescreen TV. TOO SMALL even for a bedroom.

I have a KV27FS100...............its $500 and its great. Awesome picture (including 16:9 enhancement) and good sound.......I don't think PIP is worth the extra money, because that is the only difference between 100 and 200. As for 300, I don't think there is a 27 inch tv with the 300 nomenclature, as you stated, its 32 inches.

Several months ago I was considering getting the KV27FS100. $500 is a pretty decent price for what it can do. The problem with this TV is that the top of the cabinet is sloped - so you can't put a center channel speaker on top of it. Which is a really, really stupid design flaw in my opinion.
