I got the game about a year ago and was able to go through the first 3 levels relatively quickly. However, once I got to the final singles and doubles match - I thought I'd never beat the game. Luck somehow FINALLY carried me to victory in these 2 matches yesterday - catapulting me from #4 to #1. I can now say the game is over. I've got 2k2 unopened - but I think I need some tennis time-off.
Did anyone else have extreme difficulty getting past the final foes?
For those of you that did, who was your career with?
I think part of my problem was that I was using Thomas Johansson - had great speed, but not very good with shots.
One more down - so many more games to go......

If there was only a tennis 2k3 by SEGA LIVE. We could put your skills to the test with me;)

I beat Tennis pretty easily, but I was never able to defeat 2k2 doubles final. I never realized how annoying AI can be when ur teammate just STANDS there and lets a ball go by him. I mean literally WATCHES the ball pass him by. Ugghh bad memories on that match. Didn't help you had to skip ALL THE WAY AROUND the year to face them again.

Where you able to unlock master? I had trouble with him. I never did finish the whole game. Very underated game. Every DC owner should pick this one up.

Great and fun game. Haven't played it since I've bought it years ago.
Didn't quite finish it though.

you beat the king?
After 200-300 attemps I decided it was impossible.

I don't know if it took me that many - but it took a LOT. I actually beat him in a tiebreaker - but hell, I ain't gonna complain. At least it is finally behind me.
So what is the secret to getting Master? I haven't bought any of the additional clothes/players/arenas yet - so I imagine this may have something to do with it.
If there was a Live version of 2k3 - I think it would be enough to make me buy another Xbox and hook up the Live. Now THAT would be worth it. For anyone who has yet to try out the Sega tennis series, you will not be disappointed.

I can't get very far into the game, best I came was in the low 90's in ranking, but VT is the best tennis game I have ever played. It makes all other Tennis look like Pong.

I haven't beat Tennis 2K2 yet, for me it's extremely hard. I think my aging is hurting my videogame skills.

I think I unlocked 90% of the things in 2k2 minus some of the secret rackets. I had about 2/3 of the secret ones. I bought everything in every shop. Beat the highest level in the minigames, and raised both my characters to their maximum levels but I STILL couldn't beat King and Queen. Oh I did unlock master.
