Tina Fey...Holy Moley

Im sure someone else had to notice this.... Im watching an SNL re-run and Gwenyth Paltrow is doing the "take questions from the audience bit" during the monologue. Most of the "audience" that asks the questions in these bits are usually show writers. One of them stands up and asks Gwenyth why she's is speaking with a british accent (part of the bit). I look at the screen and there is Tina Fey plus 50 to 75 pounds! Look, im not at prime weight either and Ive never been interested in the private (or public for that matter) lives of celebrities, but WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED....Liposuction, anorexia, bullemia? Whatever it was, it has turned her into a stick figure. You have to see it to believe it.

I don't remember Tina Fey being bigger, but wasn't Rachel Dratch also pretty big too? Maybe I should go on the snl diet.

Another thing I find funny is Lauren Graham on the Gilmore Girls. She used to be fat and on the show they're always commenting on how her character can eat so much. I imagine that isn't true for her in real life.

I remember when I first saw it, I too was shocked. Later, I saw it again, and she didn't look as huge as I remembered but still pretty big. I always figured the scar on the side of her face was where they sucked all the fat out of her. Not knowing anything about behind the scenes, I also assumed she was either told or figured out on her own that she wasn't going to be in front of the cameras looking like she did in that sketch.

Weird, I never even noticed it on that episode. I hope she hasn't done anything to permanently damage her health.

She said in an interview once that she was overweight most of her life and finally just decided she wanted to lose it and she did. It is possible for a woman to be thin without having an eating disorder.

Blasphemy...she's in the entertainment business, so she must have had some kind of medical procedure, otherwise our own sloth-like existences will be threatened!!

She also is in the audience asking questions (dressed as a lesbian) during an episode that Lucy Lawless hosted. But she wasn't as heavy during that one, as she was during the Paltrow episode.

I noticed that too, but i'd have to say that 50-75 lbs is a bit of a stretch (no pun intended)....she was heavier, but probably by more like 20-30 at most.....

When was Lauren Graham fat? When she was young?

She had some padding when she was on Caroline in the City... recurring character playing Richard's girlfriend. She was on some Newsradio episodes too and she was a bit heavier.

You must have very high standards if you think that is fat.
A few pounds heavier maybe, but NOT fat.

BTW, more pictures for comparison can be found here.

I didn't say she was fat on Caroline, I said she had more padding.

I actually found Lauren Graham most attractive during those early appearances.

Ok, there must be something wrong with me. I could have sworn Lauren Graham was a lot bigger on Caroline. When I picture it like I remember I see something more akin to Monica on Friends in her fat suit. Man, I have a bad memory.

Maybe the fact that she was so annoying on Caroline made your view of her even worse. I know it did mine. I remember the episode where Richard breaks up with her, he starts singing some 'oh happy days are here' type song and then there is a knock at the door... lol she's baaaack.

I've never seen her overweight. She was quite hot when she attended UVa. There's a picture floating around somewhere of her at a party with a UVa shirt on, but I don't remember where it is.

I remember this topic from wayyyy back...caught this on Comedy Central earlier.

Anyways, Tina does look ALOT better now. I wouldn't say she was 50-75 pounds heavier, that's ridiculous. Her face did look a lot worse though.

Whatever....

Self portrait.

BTW, Tina Fey is very skin and tiny woman, not to be mistaken w/ Rosie O'Donnel.

Doesn't everyone keep pictures of their old girlfriends?

I believe what elise said is correct. She had been somewhat overweight her whole life, and after securing the anchor spot on the news, she was either asked to lose or she lost the 20-25 pounds of extra weight.

Being the head writer on the show doesn't hurt either!
