Oscars -- A Sell-Out for ABC

Representing what today's (Monday) Wall Street Journal described as "the latest indication that the TV ad market continues to be strong," ABC has already sold out its commercial inventory for the March 23rd Oscar telecast, getting an average $1.3 million to $1.4 million per 30-second spot. Advertisers include American Express, Anheuser-Busch, Charles Schwab, General Motors, JC Penney, MasterCard, PepsiCo and Washington Mutual.

Never could understand the fascination with the Oscars. I actually prefer to watch the red carpet entrances than the actual show.
