Stargate UE...a good blind buy??
ok so we've got this Ultimate Edition that actually sounds ultimate...people calling it one of the best looking/sounding dvds ever with a good set of extras...how about the film though? is it a good blind buy for the very cheap price(under 15 virtually everywhere)

I never bought the original release and picked up the UE as a blind buy this week because it was such a good deal. Watched it last night and was blown away. This is a really great movie. It has elements of Sci-fi, Indy, and the Mummy. A great Saturday morning popcorn movie...

vote for another yes. I had multiple laserdisc versions of this movie ... and I saw it in the theater. I remember that the toys based on the movie didn't sell very well ... but I loved it.
By the way ... if you enjoy the movie ... purchase the 2 seasons of the television show on DVD. !! Or if you like the TV show ... purchase the movie !!

Seeing as how you can get this in the 10-15$ range Yes it is a great blind buy. I was just reading the praise in another thread with the sound quality of the movie, many were comparing the DTS track to Saving Private Ryan.
