Knowing Fox... they will either end up showing a "special" replay of American Idol or another Simpsons re-run.

I would say that they will just show more episodes of

A.) The simpsons (And if they do, it's a re-run from this season)
B.) King of the hill

The show is basically canceled at this point anyway as I understand it... Fox is just burning off old unaired episodes whenever they see fit to do so (rarely, apparently).

It didn't make it because Fox didn't own as much of the show as they would have liked and thus didn't promote it at all... even though it's creator gave them a series that saved it's network and has lasted 14 seasons so far.

for the record, Fox has enough episodes of futurama for atleast another Full season.. even though they consider a "season" to be 12 episodes.

I played this "will they, won't they" sh*t since it moved to Sunday nights...and i'll be glad when the "season/series finalie" airs so i dont have to watch this trash network anymore.

My bets are on they wont show it, and out of spite they will show "Glutton Bowl" instead.

I coulda sworn I heard from a cousin's friend's IT technician that they were going to air sixteen episodes this season, making it eligible for syndication.

How is it on Cartoon Network if it isn't eligible for syndication. I don't understand how all that works. I thought they had to hit a certain number of episodes (90?).

In the old days it was 65 episodes or roughly three years worth of shows. I don't know about now especially with dvd in the picture.

It's up for syndication as Cartoon network has it. So that is not an issue. it used to be that a show needed a certain amount to get syndication..

In most cases if the show is still in demand and has below the average number they sell it anyways. Might be at a lower cost, but still.

FWIW, it is listed as showing at 7 PM on Sunday 3/2, according to the channel guide on my digital cable...

I always thought that the magic number for syndication is 100.

I've seen commercials that mention Futurama this Sunday. No actual footage mind you. Fox couldn't be bothered with promoting it. There are two other shows possibly upcoming the two weeks following as indicated below.

2 Mar 03 Less Than Hero
9 Mar 03 Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles
16 Mar 03 Bender Should Not Be Allowed On TV
