I thought it was OK as a rental - certainly better than 'Stealing Harvard' that is literally garbage!

I thought the final 10 minutes or so of the film was decent. "Stealing Harvard" ... why did Gellar take a role in a film like that? So below her. Oh well.

This was a pretty bad movie. I saw it opening day in the theatre (big Kevin Bacon fan ) and was let-down.

I guess it is all about expectations. Mine weren't too high going into it since I knew the movie didn't do that well at the box office. So, with low expectations, I actually kind of enjoyed SOME of the movie.

I had low expectations going into the movie, and they were justified. Courtney love's character was by far the worst thing in the movie. Again avoid and go watch minority report.

I had looooooow expectations too, and I actually liked it. Sure, the climax was a bit over the top, but I thought it was a pretty decent thriller..........

I haven't seen Courtney love in much and now I know why.

See, I'm with 12thmonkey ... go in with looooow expectations ... and the climax, while over the top, is worth seeing (IMHO).

Trapped is finely acted and simple. I like it. It's small and realistic, which I enjoy. This film certainly didn't deserve all the bad press it got from critics. But we all know their hatred of the film was political.

And Courtney Love is hot.

I have to admit ... I too was NOT impressed with the actress Courtney Love in this film.

However, I was watching it for Charlize Theron.

Man On The Moon
People Vs. Larry Flynt
200 Cigarettes
Basquiat
Trapped

All good films with Love in them. Nuff said. Stop hating for no reason.

I have no problem with Love as an actress, its her character that was horrible in the movie, she probably chose the movie because it was the only one out there for her.

Yes, good but not great! She brings a film down in my opinion. I don't own and try to avoid any film she disgraces with her presence.

Therefore, I do have a reason... Just my .02

I think you're thinking of the movie Harvard Man. Stealing Harvard stars Jason Lee and Tom Green.

Of the three films I've seen with Courtney Love in them (Trapped, Man on The Moon, People Vs. Larry Flynt) I thought she was good in the first two and incredible in The People Vs. Larry Flynt.

I bought Trapped as a blind buy and was fairly surprised by how poor it was. Charlize Theron's other stinker IMHO is the Astronaut's Wife which I think is pretty much par for the course with Trapped. I had high expectations for both films and was thoroughly disappointed in each case.

Don't forget "Feeling Minnesota" and "Sid and Nancy".
