Target's new evil plan to make us buy old/bad GC/PS2/XBox games

Saw a couple of Gamecube games (Scorpion King, 4X4 Evo) in the case, not on clearance, but with new regular shelf tags of 12.99 and little triangular stickers in the upper right corner of the front of the game box that said "Get in the Game," with a couple of funky little symbols underneath next to the Target logo. Looks like a corporate promo to dump on suckers like me -- I bought both GC games. There were a couple of XBox games, and 8-9 PS2 games with the same stickers/prices. Happy hunting.

I'd hardly call that "making" us buy them.

Uh, Josh, the title was sorta a joke (although the deal is real). I had one too many chocolate chip cookies after dinner and fancied myself witty. Silly Dah-Dee.

Edit: I don't remember the names of the PS2 games; I remember that Enclave, mentioned in a post in the Target clearance thread, was one of the XBox games. I included "bad" in the thread title because I knew that the 2 GC games had gotten less-than-stellar reviews. Maybe the games for the other systems are pretty good, I just don't know. I hope somebody finds something decent.

this is going to be a YMMV type of deal so you'd be best off checking out your loca target

I picked up kelly slater pro surfing at target yesterday for 13$.

they also had scorpion king, 4x4 evo, haven, and some arcade type indy or cart game.

for gamecube, they had tiger woods 2003 and nhl 2003 for 20$.

I didn't look through the xbox titles.

I remember for Xbox it was Enclace and Hollywood Stunt Driver.
For Gamecube all I saw was Scorpion King
For PS2 I recall Riding Spirirts (which still sells for $40 in some stores)

Just came from Target and there are a whole lota games on the clearance shelf, in fact there were 5 shelves full of games. Too many titles to remember but Triple Play Baseball was something like $8.00. All console systems were covered.

Also, when I went by the register, the cashier was making sale tags for more of the newer games for all systems. She said the sale starts this weekend, don't know if it'll be in Sunday's ad. Ghost Recon was one of the tags I saw among a pile of tags.
