Here's a review of Seven Years In Tibet - Superbit.

You can hopefully expect reviews for Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal Superbit versions in a little over a week on this site.

I thought the SB Heavy Metal seemed to offer a pretty substantial picture improvement, and the DTS was a little better than the DD. The loss of the extras is too bad, though, as the original disc offered LOTS of great stuff. Still, the SB release appears to be the stronger presentation of the film itself.

I also checked out the SB From Here to Eternity. Its picture seems identical when compared to the prior DVD. The mono sound remains the same, but the new DTS 5.1 mix offers an interesting experience. I don't prefer it to the mono, but it's a viable option. The absent extras are less missed here, as they weren't that good to start. Nonetheless, unless you really want that DTS track, I'd recommend the original.
