Good, funny, creative non-fiction authors wanted.

I'm in the mood to read some creative non-fiction, either memoir or other. Anything funny will do.

Does anyone have particular favorites? A good author or a particular book? I know I've enjoyed Dave Sedaris, so something along those lines would be welcome.

James Herriott is good. He's a veterinarian and writes about animals and his experiences.

Sarah Vowell is LOL funny. Go get any of her books today. You won't regret it. (She's also a good friend of David's)

Sure, I'll work for you. What's the pay?

Oh yeah, what do you want me to write about?

P.J. O'Rourke or Molly Ivins, depending on your political leanings.

If you like Sedaris, try "Fraud" by David Rakoff. Very similar to Sedaris' stuff and just as good. I'd second the recommendation of Sarah Vowell. Also listen to NPR's "This American Life" for similar writers (and check out the TAL CD "Lies, Sissies, and Fiascoes", where you'll here some great stories by Sedaris, Vowell, and many others.)
