SCARFACE R2....what's the transfer like?

I would like to ask if there is any difference in the transfer of the R2 edition? I am aware of the fact that the R2 is anamorphic, but IS IT AS POOR as the R1 edition? Or did the British for example use a different master?

Well......I am well aware of the talk about a special edition...however it has been just that..."talk"!

Now, I have the old edition.....but I have never EVER read a review of the British release for example.....which I know is anamorphic......so I would like to know what's the transfer like....

The UK/Australian disc is much better than the US release -no doubt. Some more technical comment here

Even if they do tidy up the film elements (which would be a MASSSIVE task) the film will still be poor. I've tried very hard to like this film (and the performances) but can never get to the end of the film as it's so bad. Either way the disc is well worth buying if you enjoy the film.

I bought my UK disc for less than $10 only a few months back -CDWow had the Region 4 very cheap too although Ican't find it on their site now.

R2 edition is already pretty loaded. I do not see any reason for an upgrade.

Globally when you are looking for reviews go there:

BTW, Scarface is a great flick.
