Can I play Mini-CDs on a GameCube?

Can I play Mini-CDs on a GameCube?
I know that a regular sized CD won't fit in a Cube, but I was wondering if I got those little CD-Rs and put music or mp3 files on it, would I be able to play it using the GameCube? I know the answer is probably no, but if I can, that would be cool, mainly if the mp3 is a possibility. I just don't want to spend the money on those little CDs just to test it, as I have no other use for them.
