X-Files Game finally done right. (Xbox)
Coming this Summer on Xbox:

There were some great screenshots in a recent magazine (Game Informer maybe?), but here's a few from VU's website:

The X-Files™: Resist or Serve contains three horrific, interwoven episodes created by the Executive Producers of The X-Files. The game features authentic X-Files characters, music and storyline, voiceovers by David Duchovny, Gillian Andersen and the rest of the original cast, and unique DVD-style bonus material containing exclusive commentary and interviews.

Well, VU seems to be one of the few companies that can make a decent game from a movie/tv license. Since they already own the license, they can focus all their money on the game. I'm optimistic, but I'm not gonna hold my breath. It's very promising that they have the characters looking so true to life and they are using the real voice actors - including several sub-characters like the Cigarette Smoking Man. Plus, the show's writers wrote the stories. Sounds real good on paper.

This month's Game Informer had a ton of previews - I mean, for a sucky magazine it occasionally comes up with some good info.

According to GameInformer - this is going to be a Survival Horror game (*wets pants) and it will be available for the PS2 as well... that's the only place I can find where it says PS2 also, but I'm sure that's true. It's for sure coming out for the Xbox.

How lame is that? It was kind of fun at first but then became very boring. I'd rather have fake agents with cool monsters than video capture with no good scares or creatures.

Ahem... Has everyone seen the X-Files preview at Gamspot? Sounds very cool, plus there are more stills. One question: Is the release Q3 2003 or Q2 2004? There seems to be some confusion over there.
