Angels In America -- When? (HBO)

from imdb:

Angels in America, 2003 miniseries
directed by Mike Nichols

Al Pacino ........................Roy Cohn
Meryl Streep ....................Hannah
James Cromwell ................... ??
Micheal Gambon .................... ??
Emma Thompson .............The Angel
Mary Louise-Parker ...........Harper Pitt
Jeffrey Wright .........................Belize

Does anyone know much about the filming of this production? Is it already in the can? Have any promos appeared? When will it be shown?

It is gonna kill me not to have HBO when this comes out...

For those who don't follow theater *at all*--Angels in America is a two-part comedy-drama (or two plays) and is likely to rank with Death of a Salesman, Glass Menagerie, etc, as one of the ten most important stage dramas of the 20th century...

(But it's also a lot more bizarre and fun than those... )

Anyway, I'm dying for more details about this. Anyone know anything?

They're filming it right now. Meryl was working on it in Rome when she flew in for the Golden Globes.

I haven't heard anything about this project, but that is a great ensamble of actors. That alone is enough to get me to watch it.

I saw the play a number of years ago and loved it.
This is great news and anything with Meryl makes it even more special.
