I hooked up my Sony Home Theater HT-DDW740 and nothing is working. None of the buttons on the remote are working and on the receiver.
Here's what I've got
Sanyo 25" TV (coaxial input only)
Magnavox VCR
Digital Cable Box (RCA from AT&T)
Nintendo Gamecube
Nintendo 64
Sega Dreamcast
Basically, I'm wondering if anyone knows how to hook up a surround sound system to a TV with no A/V inputs and with a VCR and Digital Cable Box.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm no expert, but it sounds to me like you need an RF modulator. This allows you to connect (and switch) several components with RCA inputs to your TV's coax input.

My friend and I just screwed around with it after the game and figured out how to do it. I'll post what we did here so that other people with a similar problem can have a guide to fixing.
First we unplugged the N64 from the Video Out jacks on the Video 1 output panel. That helped a little. :)
We plugged a set of red, white, and yellow cables from the cable box to the Video 1 input panel.
We plugged red white and yellow cables from the Gamecube into the Video 2 input panel.
We plugged red, white, and yellow cables from the DVD player to the DVD/LD input panel.
We ran a yellow cable from the Out to Monitor jack to the RF modulator and then ran a cable from the modulator to the TV.
Voila! Problem solved. Now I have surround sound for DVD's, TV, and videogames.
