Enterprise fans...EXCITING news!! [SPOILers]

NO...they're not cancelling the show...
Brannon Braga, co-creator of UPN's Enterprise, told SCI FI Wire to expect the return of the alien Tholians, who first appeared in the original Star Trek episode "The Tholian Web" in 1968. "Yeah, the Tholians will make an appearance," he said in an interview. "We have another installment of the Temporal Cold War coming up, and the Tholians make a kind of a surprising appearance in that show. We hint that they might be involved somehow as another faction in the Temporal Cold War. So they're not just a species that we meet. They may play a bigger role."

Braga added that another upcoming Enterprise episode will bring back the popular Andorians, who have already appeared in several episodes. Jeffrey Combs returns as Shran, and longtime Trek guest star Suzie Plakson (best remembered as the doomed Klingon K'Ehleyr in The Next Generation) appears as an Andorian female, the first encountered by Starfleet personnel.

I don't remember much about the original Tholian episode, except that it involved Kirk phasing in and out of reality. Perhaps they will explain this as part of the Tholian experimentation with time travel technology?

That might be interesting.

Don't go and get my hopes up like that!

Good to see they're still clinging to nostalgia in the absense of anything resembling good writing.

BTW, last night's episode was the best "Battlestar Galactica" I've seen in probably decades. Right down to N'pol's tightey-whitey, cloth-up-the-crotch outfit.

I was thinking T'pols outfit was more Wilma Derring from Buck Rogers than Battlestar Gallactica. Caught that as I was looking for something decent to watch from 8-9 before Angel came on. Enterprise didnt last for more than 15 seconds before turning it.

How is Braga ripping off more of the original shows Aliens good news?
Does this guy have an original idea in his head?

Still waiting for Farscape review Das.

Nah, Braga's all out of original ideas. But, since the Tholians have only appeared once in all of Trek (onscreen) history, I'm really looking forward to it.

Hopefully the NX-01 gets caught in a Tholian Web and we never hear from them again.........

I say more Andorians and less Suliban and Klingons even. As for the Tholians, I'm sure they'll find a way to screw them up.

If they hadn't more or less thrown out the entire Star Trek back story in favor of a stupid soap opera then I might still be interested in this show. Doesn't help that the writing sucks. Why couldn't they have done what the original show did and solicit scripts from some contemporary SF authors? This show is so bad, well, it's just beyond description.

The evil BB twins made it clear sometime in the mid-90s that they don't want their shows to have a science-fiction vibe--they want a cheesecake-adventure vibe.

Yeah, I know. I was just continuing to moan about it. So stupid of them to turn their backs on the very thing that made the franchise such a success in the first place. Gene is probably spinning in his grave.

I have watched only 3 o4 shows (all 1st year), I just can't get into Enterprise. It is not what Gene had in mind when he created Star Trek and they are destroying Star Trek history.

Rating are very low, could cansolation be coming down the line.

But, they could use the "Time" plot to restore history to the way it should be.

Lets be fair, The men have to be in the decontamination episode too.
Let's face it, there is not other interesting reasons to watch the show.
I look at the posts sometimes over at trekweb.com and opinion is pretty low over there too except for a few that blame the fans for not sticking with the show and think its are fault for the ratings being bad.
Of course if it were better, I Would be watching every week.
