Jayhawks' Gary Louris hospitalized (but he'll be OK)
From the StarTribune (Minneapolis-St. Paul paper) website:
[excerpt]
Gary Louris, frontman of Twin Cities country-rock band the Jayhawks, was hospitalized in Nashville on Thursday with pericarditis, an infection of the tissue that covers the heart. The singer/guitarist is expected to make a full recovery, but the illness forced his band to cancel a month of tour dates.
A spokesman for the band said Louris, 47, should be able to return home to the Twin Cities within a week but was otherwise told not to travel until at least mid-February. Pericarditis is the same illness that forced Bob Dylan to cancel a tour in 1997.
The Jayhawks had been on the road to preview their new album, "Rainy Day Music," which is due April 1 on American/Lost Highway Records. There are no plans to delay the CD's release.

Hope he makes a full recovery (and not just because I've never seen the Jayhawks on tour and I'm really hoping to this time around).
