Why are the following games still (for the most part) $49.99? is it due to low demand, to make up for lost sales, or high demand that's hardly waning, so they can cash in?

Waverace: Blue Storm
Pikmin
Super Mario Sunshine
Super Smash Brothers: Melee

Nintendo hasn't lowered their prices for most games yet. I'm sure at least 2 of those games (Mario and Smash Bros.) are still selling well though. Plus Nintendo has had some special offers lately like $5 off a game or a free game with a Cube purchase.

I got Wave Race for $26 a while back, they also had Pikmin for $26 and Lost Kingdom for $18.

They = BX/Base Exchange at Patrick AFB.

So if you have access out there, give it a look.

P.S. "a while back" = end of december 2002, heh - okay so like 3 weeks ago

I saw Wave Race for $29.99 at target a couple days ago.

Mario Sunshine just came out in August, why would it drop in price already?

Hit games don't drop quick. Hell, GTA3 is still $49.99 most places.

Aside from the store-specific deals, the MSRP on these games is still 49.99. That's kinda silly IMO. At least for the launch games like Pikmin, SSBM, and Wave Race.

compusa.com had waverace on clearance a long time ago for $14, ofcourse it was before i bought a gcn, I want SSB:M but I can't find it anywhere where I live and I don't know if I'd pay $50 for it since i've played it alot at other peoples houses. Nintendo doesn't really seem that great for lowering prices, I remember in the n64 days they'd have the million sellers, but they were still $39.99(originally $59.99)
