I've been noticing lately that a lot of games that go down to GH, are still in their regular packaging. I have 4 GH games (DMC, GT3, SSX Tricky, and Red Faction). The only game that has the red on it is red faction, but it has some bonus trailers. It does look retarded with all my ps2 games, it's a nice black pattering than the red sticks right out.

You must have picked them up right after they were announced as part of the greatest hits. Rather than take the older, non-gh copies back they just mark them down to $19.99 and replace it with the red labeled version once the stock is gone.

He may not be your friend for long once he finds out about the price reduction.

i don't mind the cases. they don't bother me. yes, they're not attractive but i buy them for the games, not the cover.

i have like 5 $5 off of $19.99 at best buy... they're burning a hole in my wallet looks like hotshot golf 3 is next...

There was an ongoing thread here, but this one is better anyway..

A few you missed -- Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, James Bond 007: Agent Under Fire and another that recently went Greatest Hits is Maximo. I still haven't seen Hot Shots Golf 3 in GH packaging or at GH prices anywhere yet.

I know. I'll probably do it for $20. It's pretty much brand new.

Damn Greatest Hits.

Whe is 007 : AUF always $29.99 even though it's a GH title? Isn't the price supposed to be $19.99 for all GH titles?

BTW, I'm STILL waiting for that FFX price drop.....

I just added Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Maximo: Ghosts to Glory. I can't find any link for 007: Agent Under Fire being on the greatest hits list and price is still above $20.

I thought only Star Wars: Starfighter was a GH title (not "Jedi" Starfighter). But I may be wrong. Anyone know?

I myself saw 007:AUF w/ the red GH banner at my local Wal-mart. I know it exists, but I cannot confirm if it was $20 or $30.

IIRC, the price of GH titles can be $14.99 - $29.99 at the publisher's discretion. A price higher than $19.99 kinda defeats the purpose though.

That's amazing, considering I've seen it myself at Best Buy on the Greatest Hits shelf with a $19.99 tag.

i've seen it at best buy for $30... it had the red box cover. in fact, i thought it was mispriced and asked the sales guy. he said, "it's $20..." i said, but the tag says $30. he checks and sure enough, it is...

the key thing is not the red box... it is the price. so they can badge it as a GH game, but if it's not $20, it's no bargain.
