How many current consoles do you own? (please vote)

Since Xmas has passed us by, and with these bundles, and price drops and whatnot, I imagine that most of us have at least 2 consoles by now. I'm curious to see where we are at as a forum in terms of multiple console ownership or trifecta ownership (aka shangrila :lol: )

PS2 only. I ended up spending my money on other things and did not buy my GC. I guess it will have to wait till next year.

Maybe a birthday gift to myself in January.

Gary, after seeing the list of your PS2 collection, if you unloaded a few of those games, you could easily complete a trifecta. :D

although I do think the XBox has nice graphics. so far nothing has really grabbed me to buy it. if it does money will not be an issue. If I really want something bad enough i just get it.

In fact my family just laughs everytime I buy something since usually they point out how I really did not need it :)

i have a ps2 and gcn, i did get an xbox bundle, but ended up returning it for SMS bundle, I really thought about it and nothing really catches me on Xbox, but I LOOOOOOOOOOOVE SMS and MP, I also like Factor 5 games(Rogue Squadran 2 is the only one out on GCN so far) and the Resident Evil series

Yeah go with what catches your eye. I will be hanging on to my GCN forever just for that occasional AAA that comes out. PS2 I really need to start playing more of its games, SOCOM consumed a huge amount of my time for a while, but I'd like to do some of those platformers too, when the price drops on them. And luckily XBL keeps me pretty well entertained (online gaming is my favorite new type of gaming).

I think next year when Fable, Halo 2, and a few other nice titles come out, combined with a $150 price, Xbox will sell to most everyone on the forum. Ditto with GCN with a $100 price and Zelda, MP, etc. And ditto with a $150 PS2 price with and its GTA series plus all the gems it has out for it.

Man it's a great time to be a gamer.

I agree this is a great time to be a gamer no matter what system you decide to get. all have some great games and now if you like online play two of the consoles are giving you that also.

If the price drops I agree more and more systems sell to those of us gamers.

I am waiting for someone to get two of the same console so that they have one in a living room and one in a bedroom :lol:

gcribbs, I have 2 PS2 one in my bedroom and one in my tv room, and will probably do the same with xbox, I have a xbox and a gamecube, now in my bedroom, along with SNES,NES,Genesis, TG-16,Jaguar, all hooked up at the same time, it has always been a good time to be a gamer. LOL

I have to agree a price drop and a few games like Panzer Dragoon Orta or maybe Fable might bring me back to Xbox. My biggest problem is finding time though. I hate having a console just sitting around collecting dust.

GCN and Xbox. There's very little overlap between the two consoles...they compliment each other nicely.

I'll probably get a PS2 after the next price drop, since there's a few titles on that system I'd like to try.

My GC gets way more play by myself than the XBox. But when everyone comes over for some multi-player gaming it is the Xbox and Halo(mostly because I am the only one with a GC and don't have 4 controllers yet, therefore everyone else can bring over their XBox controllers).

PS2 and a Cube. i really wanted to get an XBox but looking at the current and near future releases didn't come up with enough reasons for me to do so at this point. I'm sure i'll get one at some point though.

Im with Groucho and Copenhagen. I dont think I have the time for any of the (few) titles a PS2 offers that the Cube and Box dont have. I also have a GBA, a Dreamcast and a top end gaming PC. My plate is full. Ill probally never pick one up.

One nice thing about everybody going multi-console is it has cut down on the <s>all</s> most of the bashing that has gone on in this forum. I look forward to 2005 when we can start up with the baiting, flaming, and other fun.

I know Ill be getting the Nintendo at launch. No matter what. And Im sure Ill pick up one of the others at their launch too. Not particular on which either.

It will probably ship with 256 mb memory cards, and most games will take up 100 megabytes. :D Madden 2006 will take 1 gb alone.

I just got the PS/2 to complete the trifecta, still never play my XBox. Much prefer the Cube, playing Kingdom Hearts on the PS/2 and Metroid on the Cube currently. Will look to get some of the older FF games and Zelda next. Not in to FPS so I don't have Halo, though I've come close to getting it several times.

Something on the XBox will catch my fancy some day, I'm sure. Until then it's third in line.

I bought PS2 and GBA the weekend after Thanksgiving, then got XBox for Christmas. I've had DC for a while, so I have the most games for that out of this generation of systems.

There's a couple of games that look good on Gamecube, but I probably won't get one until it goes under $100 (especially since I don't have enough time to play all the games I have now).

Xbox and GameCube. Xbox for me, and Gamecube for the kiddies.

Still have Genesis, Playstation, and N64 hooked up in the kids playroom as well, but they play the cube now. Ghost Recon takes up most of my time, with a bit of MotoGP, HALO still, and some multi-platform Star Wars games. They play my box, but I have yet to touch their cube.

I've had GameCube since shortly after launch. Finally got PS2 about a month ago, mostly for Vice City and Kindom Hearts. Then, I bought an Xbox 3 days ago! :) Boy, that second job is really helping me finance this video game addiction...er, casual pasttime. :D
