I just got my XBox and spent a couple of hours customizing my soundtrack.

Best Feature EVER :) Kinda reminds me of the way you could play any CD after Ridge Racer loaded on the PSX, but with much more mixed results back then.

Some choice cuts-

METALLICA
- Enter Sandman
- Better Than You
- Fuel (natch)
- Through the Never
- The Memory Remains

ALICE IN CHAINS
- Would
- Them Bones
- Grind
- Man in the Box

THE WHO
- Won't Get Fooled Again
- Who Are You

ROB ZOMBIE
- Demonoid Phenomenon
- Living Dead Girl
- Dragula
- Superbeast

There's also some Ramones, Cheap Trick, ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin and Blue Oyster Cult (insert cowbell reference). I find it amusing for the DJ to talk about the next track being the hottest in hip-hop, only to hear "Don't Fear the Reaper" coming from the speakers :D

Any suggestions for the day I want to change the playlist ?

I mostly have a ton of rap music. I have a couple of hundred songs on there since I bought my X-Box this past summer.

NC-36, I like your choices. I don't have a game yet to customize but I am hoping True Crime: Streets of LA will have this feature. I would have to add some more recent hard stuff for racing though. Godsmack, Saliva, Tool, Static-X. Some cool cruising music: Tom Petty, ZZtop, the Doors, i.e. classic rock.

Besides Project Gotham, what other XBOX games allow you to use your own music?

Dr Dre - The Chronic. Which I ripped originally for Tony Hawk 2x, and it's become the all purpose soundtrack on my xbox.

Sparta, deftones, rancid, massive attack, and numerous others are there as well...

I don't suppose you can rip off of CD-Rs can you? Limiting your selection to store bought CDs you own. Is this a correct assumption?

Thought of another good one - Filter: Hey Man, Nice Shot. That would be great for a GTA type of game(TC:SoLA).

I really wish Unreal would let you use your own soundtrack while playing on XBLive. That would make is so much better.

Fuzion Frenzy
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4
RalliCross

I couldn't possibly tell you exactly what I have on my hard drive, it's at well over 100 songs with no artists repeated. I have some Rage Against the Machine, some Soft Cell, some Shadowy Men from a Shadowy Planet, some RZA, some Tricky, some Jon Spencer Blues Explosion... You get the idea. :)
