"I kick arse for the Lord!"

For me, Peter Jackson The Filmmaker really showed his strengths in TTT. I liked the many moments he "cut loose" and allowed Tolkien's story come alive on screen in original ways (read: Tolkienite-despised ways).

One other thing I noticed was how many clear signs there were of Jackson's background in directing comedic splatter films (Bad Taste, Meet The Feebles and Braindead, mainly). As with Raimi's take on Spider-Man, the director's past was often quite apparent.

Here's a chance to list several details that reminded you of the films where priests hacked off zombies' limbs with their bare hands and a man was attacked by... a spleen.

I'll start by quoting the line spoken by one of the uruks towards the beginning of the film:

"Looks like meat's back on the menu, boys."

:p
