I remember when Fat Albert was considered horribly racist and people were complaining nonstop. Now I'm seeing Fat Albert clothing and such around town. When did it become non-racist again (like in the days it used to be on Saturday morning cartoons)?

I didn't realize it ever was considered racist? I loved watching it as a kid, so it was nice to see it on tv again. Anyone know what the deal is with the syndication rights to the old epsiodes of the show? You would think Cartoon Newtwork would want to air it.

I missed this! It would have been nice watching one of my old favorite shows.

I'll check for a re-airing.

I didn't know it was racist either I even have a couple of the shirts he is talking about. I think the pudding man owns all the rights to the show and is very stingy when it comes to selling it in syndication (sp?)
