What's the deal with The Killer Criterion on eBay?
I typed in Criterion Killer on eBay to find the ld version, but then there's a whole bunch of the dvd version popping up and buy it now price of around $30, what am I missing here???
These can't be legit right? Out of all the places for criterion to come from, most of them are from ASIA and the Philippines? I don't think they even have proper criterion release there. I was there last year and didn't see any criterions, then all of a sudden this? Anyone know about this???

I don't trust anyone on ebay and will never buy from them, as that's where all the bootleggers go. The only way you can be totally sure you get a legit version is to have got it before the flood of bootlegs. Or, chances are, if it's a legit version, last I checked they were on ebay for $140 and up. For $30 I'm 99% sure it's a bootleg. Also, if the seller is in Asia, you can be even more certain it's a bootleg, as that's where all the bootlegs come from; plus, the Criterion is an American release, so chances are the seller should be American if it's legit.
But unless you're a criterion completist, you can get the HK or UK release for cheaper.

Well, all generalizations suck, and this one is no exception. I sell and buy on Ebay, and there are great deals to be had if one can use one's head and common sense. If you choose and can afford to ignore the most phenomenal global outlet that Ebay is, then it's certainly up to you. Just for the record: I am not an Asian, and I do hate a lot of things about Ebay and the way they do business, so I have no reason to be offended, however I just thought that a remark like that sounded a little silly. Shouldn't we abandon Internet alltogether, since there are so many scams and spam, and trolls, and flames and kiddy porn and what's not?
Having said that - Killer Criterion for $30 sure sounds like boots and better be avoided - no matter what the seller's origin is. Just my $.02.
