RCE vs. REA

I am currently shopping for a region-free DVD player. I am interested in either the Pioneer DV656A or the Panasonic RP-62 (I do not need to play PAL movies). On the specs, the Pioneer indicates it can play RCE discs, while the Panasonic can play RCE and REA discs. I cannot find any information on REA, can someone enlighten me, please? Further, can anyone advise as to the quality of the above-mentioned players? I apoligize for my ignorance, but I'm just learning.

Get the Pioneer DV656A. I have their DV525 since 1999 and it's
still going strong. It plays RCE,R1,R2,R3 (own region) & R4 w/o
glitches.

You won't regret it.
